Anchor

My experience as a television journalist has taught me that reporting the news is an awesome responsibility. I believe in accurately reporting the truth to viewers. I always take great pride in my work and strive for excellence while reporting the news of the day. I am extremely excited to be working as the main anchor at KNBN in Rapid City. I am originally from Louisiana, but grew up with a father in the Navy. My travels have taken me across the southwest and even overseas to Naples, Italy. While living abroad I learned a great deal about different cultures and their views on life. When I returned back to the US, I finished college at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Upon graduating with a BS degree in broadcast journalism, I began my television career in Victoria, Texas at KAVU as weekend anchor/reporter. I've also worked in Corpus Christi, Texas at KRIS 6 news as a general assignments reporter, and most recently worked in Mobile, Alabama at WKRG as a reporter. I love cooking Cajun cuisine and can make a delicious and spicy pot of gumbo. I plan on taking full advantage of all the outdoor activities here in South Dakota. My close friends and family support my decision to take a job so far from home because they know it is the right thing for me to do at this point in my life. I look forward to becoming a part of this community.
